Schon in der jungen Vergangenheit hatte Sony immer wieder mit den Hacks der Playstation 3 zu kämpfen. Nun hat der bekannte Hacker „GeoHot“ in seinem Blog ein paar Zeilen Code veröffentlich bei denen es sich offenbar um den vollständigen Root Key der Playstation 3 handelt.
Die Sieben Zeilen enthalten den angeblichen Root Key, mit dem sich alle Programme auf der Playstation ausführen lassen würden. Den Code kann Sony angeblich auch nicht nachträglich ändern, so dass das bedeuten würde, dass das Kopierschutzsystem der PS3 nachhaltig geknackt wäre.
