Ein Vorschaubericht zum kommenden Katastrophen-Thriller-Adventure „A New Beginning“ aus dem AdventureTreff-Archiv. Mit The Whispered World hat Entwickler Daedalic vor rund einem Jahr das wohl klassischste Adventure der letzten Jahre abgeliefert – spielerisch, aber auch, da es komplett in 2D realisiert wurde. Und genau jener Spur folgt man auch mit dem nächsten Adventure des Hamburger Publishers – A New Beginning. Im Gegensatz zum melancholisch-tragikomischen Abenteuer Sadwicks oder dem skurrilen Ausbruch Ednas aus der Anstalt, widmet sich A New Beginning jedoch einem ernsteren Thema: Dem Klimawandel. Ob Jan Müller-Michaelis und Co. auch fernab der humorvollen Unterhaltung überzeugende Point-and-Click-Kost schaffen können, haben wir uns anhand einer umfangreichen Anspielversion angesehen, die mit den Kapiteln 1-5 rund die Hälfte des Abenteuers umfassen soll. Story, Charaktere und Dialoge hinterlassen einen großartigen Eindruck, die Optik ist insgesamt ebenfalls ansprechend – wer 2D-Adventures liebt, der wird das Spiel sowieso mögen.
